During
the Golden Age of travel in the Twentieth Century, many railway
and steamship companies graced their dining tables with the finest
of silverware and china. Proudly crested with their company insignias,
those pieces represented the finest quality, in service and in
corporate image.
Alas,
gone now are the stately ocean liners and the named trains of
the past. All that remain are photographs, memories and - if one
is lucky - a few original pieces of tableware.
The
Canadian Pacific, Grand Trunk and Canadian National railway companies
all operated fine hotels and steamships in addition to the dining
cars on their passenger trains.

While
some of the silverware and china stocks were used in all three
services, other patterns were unique to a particular service.
All
of the items listed here are quite rare, and are very difficult
to find in today's collection environment. During the past decade
demand for these items has escalated dramatically as supply has
all but disappeared. This is an unparalleled opportunity for you
to acquire these fine pieces, for today's enjoyment and tomorrow's
investment.
All
of these pieces are in very good to excellent condition, with
good logo cresting. A few of the flatware pieces have been replated;
if so, this has been noted.
